What we built, and why it matters.
Avrixo built Collentix, a Shopify app that streamlines how merchants manage store collections. It lets them import and export both Custom and Smart Collections through simple Excel (.xlsx) files instead of editing collections one at a time.
Merchants can bring in hundreds of collections at once, edit offline in Excel and re-import changes, export everything for backups or store migrations, and optionally update existing collections by handle.

Managing collections in Shopify's admin is slow and manual. Bulk changes, backups, and moving collections between stores all mean repetitive, error-prone work.
Merchants needed a way to work with collections the way they already work with data, in a spreadsheet, and push changes back reliably.
The Technical Solution
Engineered for accuracy, scale, and trust.
Avrixo developed Collentix on Shopify's Remix-based app framework with a Node.js backend, building an import/export pipeline that maps Excel rows to Custom and Smart Collections and reports per-row insert, update, and skip results.
An optional handle-based update mode lets merchants safely update existing collections rather than duplicating them, with export used for backups and store-to-store migration.
